CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
Behavior, Blessings,
and Consequences
In the classroom there is a chart with several levels. Every student starts the day in the middle at the Ready to Learn level and then moves up to Good Choices and up again to Outstanding or Great Example. If their behavior is unacceptable, the student may need to move his or her name down to Think About It, Teacher Consequences or Parent Contact.
I strongly encourage good behavior in the classroom, at enrichments, walking in the halls, at lunch, and on the playground. Students love receiving stickers, praise, small pieces of candy, and even a small surprise every once in a while to put in their stash. On most school days, the student is given an opportunity to earn one gold coin to put in their stash and on most Fridays, they can cash in their coins for a trip to the treasure chest. The treasure chest includes small candy, pencils, small toys, etc. This being said, any donations to the treasure chest are greatly appreciated by students and teacher alike.
